Roles & Responsibilities as a Researcher

  • Respect the study subject and treat them fairly
  • Protect the privacy and personal information of the test subject
  • Conduct honest, transparent research based on facts
  • When returning professional knowledge to society, keep in mind the academic conscience as a professional
  • Contribute to the advancement of academics by announcing new academic results
  • Acknowledge and respect the achievements of prior researcher by citing the source when using own/someone else’s work
  • Keep in mind the ethical responsibilities in the process of signing a research contract or obtaining/executing research fees
  • Do not be influenced by the interests of the organization that financially supports the research and state every interest related to the research in the end result
  • When announcing the result of a research, establish its credibility by clearly stating the affiliation and title (i.e. author information) of the researcher
  • Participate continuously in research ethics education

Fraudulent Research

  • Forgery, falsification, plagiarism, false information on the author, false redundancy, and interruption of fraudulent research investigation that happen during the proposal, execution, result report, and presentation of a research development assignment
